Hardik Zayne — Founder, Aksutra Intelligence Labs · Founder & Director, Zayne Forge. Visual director, visual system architect, and published perception researcher. Also published as Hardik Kumawat.
Hardik Zayne founded Aksutra Intelligence Labs as an independent AI research company built in India, and leads its studio division, Zayne Forge — the creature design and worldbuilding practice the lab's research feeds.
The research base behind the studio's systems took six years to build: formal study across the physics of light, acoustics, perceptual psychology, and visual neuroscience, distilled into Zayne Forge's in-house realism systems. The last three of those years have been spent applying that research to creature design, worldbuilding, and AI filmmaking for studios, production houses, and brands.
He is the author of Zayne's Theory of Cinematic Reality (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18444345) and three further archived research works — The Principle of Visual Reality, On Structural Depth: A Study of Hierarchical Visual Reality, and Noise Wheel: A Visual Framework for Understanding Perceptual Noise in Images and Cinema — published under ORCID 0009-0008-0585-0254.
He is a Creative Partner and Signature Partner with Dreamina (ByteDance) and other AI platforms, and one of India's most research-driven AI filmmakers — a director whose approach is built on published theory rather than tool trends, and whose studio work has been recognized by working directors and Emmy-level juries for realism and accuracy.
The work
Two disciplines, one foundation.
AI research
At Aksutra, he leads the lab's research and development — how AI systems are grounded, evaluated and made dependable, and how visual realism is perceived — towards the company's long-term aim of foundational AI.
AI researchCreative AI
Through Zayne Forge, Aksutra's creative division, he works on creature design, worldbuilding, and cinematic visual systems for film, documentaries, and brand storytelling. His creative research investigates what makes fictional life and visual worlds feel believable — the habitat pressures, biomechanics, and structural details that determine whether a creature or world feels like it belongs to its own reality.

Partnership here means working access rather than a logo on a page: direct contact with the teams building these platforms, early builds, and the ability to feed real production findings back to them. The studio produces on all of them, and the research decides which one a given shot runs through.

Published work.
His published research includes work on visual reality, cinematic structure, and structured image systems. All works are openly available through Zenodo.
He also develops Forge OS, an internal operating layer for organizing creature logic, world rules, visual continuity, and cinematic realism across creative projects.
PRIMORDIA
A world of original alien lifeforms.
Beast of Stone Age
A prehistoric visual world built around extinct life, myth, and grounded animal presence.
